Conf 2018, 29th World Conference,
The 29th World Conference of the INTDS organised by Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, Michigan State University took place in East Lansing, Michigan, USA, from 7 to 12 October 2018.
We wish to express our sincere gratitude to Frédérique Pellemoine and her colleagues from MSU at East Lansing, Wolfgang Mitting and Anastasia Lesage, for their hospitality and for organizing successful 29th edition of the biennial conference of our society. All participants appreciated the scientific program and talks of great quality which covered a large panel of subjects related to targets (strippers, stable and exotic targets for nuclear physics and its applications, e.g. medical, industrial, controlled fusion, high power stations, characterization, ..). The meeting was the open place for all attendees to share their knowledge in this field, facilitating fruitful discussions helping to find solution for problems on technical aspects.

Conf 2016, 28th World Conference
The 28th World Conference of the INTDS organised by the iThemba Laboratory for Accelerator-Based Sciences which took place in Stellenbosch, South Africa, from 13 to 18 November 2016 was a great event.
How can the targetmaker, being neither writer nor poet, express gratefulness for the atmosphere of this meeting, the hospitality, and bonhomie, we the meeting participants encountered everywhere during our stay in South Africa?
The 28th INTDS Conference was a splendid, unforgettable time the meeting attendees had in Stellenbosch.
During the 28th edition of the INTDS World Conference we had not only series of interesting talks on target preparation but thanks to efforts of the organisers, Ntombizonke Kheswa and her team, we got a chance to have a glimpse into very interesting studies performed by students coming from various South African universities. We had remarkable discussions with them not only during poster sessions but during coffee breaks as well. This fresh addition to the programme of our meetings was very much appreciated by us. All together we had 40 oral presentations (including 4 invited talks) and 10 posters. The 59 conference attendees represented 16 countries from Africa, Europe, Asia and North America.

Conf 2014, 27th World Conference
Accolades to the organisers of the 27th World Conference of the INTDS organised by RIKEN Nishina Center for Accelerator-Based Science (RNC) which took place on August 31 – September 5, 2014 at National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan), located in Tokyo Bay area, Odaiba.

Conf 2012, 26th World Conference
The 26th World Conference of the INTDS organised by Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz and GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung Darmstadt took place in Mainz, Germany in Erbacher Hof conference centre on August 2012 (https://indico.gsi.de/e/INTDS2012).
This time Accolades goes to organisers of both events organised at the same place, at the same time: 26th INTDS conference and 4th Target Fabrication Workshop (www.targetfabrication.com/general.html).

Both meetings, that gathered 115 participants from 20 countries, took place at the Conference Centre of the Erbacher Hof giving this way opportunity to the both communities: laser target and nuclear target community to attend presentations chosen on individual interest. The sessions of both meetings were held parallely with two joined sessions.
Thanks for effort on both sides: to Bettina Lommel and Birgit Kindler from GSI and to Klaus Eberhardt from JG University Mainz representing the INTDS community and to Gabriel Schumann from Technical University Darmstadt Detector & Target Laboratory Institute for Nuclear Physics representing the TFW that in result gave us this unique opportunity to learn about achievements, successes but as well problems related to preparation of each type of targets.
The special thanks go to: Sarah Hebel, Katharina Kupka, Christoph Mokry, Dennis Renisch, Jörg Rumke, Petra Sach-Muth, Gitta Schausten, Petra Thörle-Pospiech for their help and support before and during the conference.
And to those who added their effort helping to organise visits to GSI and to research reactor TRIGA at Mainz University.

At a banquet of conference the Society’s Award of recognition for service to the Society and/or development of the target preparation technique was handed, unfortunatelly in absentia, to SCOTT AARON from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, USA.
Conf 2010, 25th World Conference
The 25th World Conference of the INTDS was hosted by TRIUMF National Laboratory and Advanced Applied Physics Solutions (AAPS) in Vancouver, BC, Canada on 12 – 17 September, 2010 (intds2010.triumf.ca)
Accolades to TRIUMF National Laboratory, Advanced Applied Physics Solutions (AAPS) and Stefan Zeisler for organising and hosting the very successful 25th World Conference of the INTDS.
The special thanks goes to Jana Thomson, Lorraine King, Sandi Miller, James Somerville, Julius Klug and Vinder Jaggi for their help and support before and during the conference.
The 39 participants representing 11 countries presented 32 technical contributions on various techniques of target preparation. The Proceedings assembling the contributions are published as a special issue of ELSEVIER’s Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research -A (NIM A 655) and are available on-line since September 2011.
Conf 2008, 24th World Conference
The 24th World Conference of the INTDS was hosted by GANIL Caen, France on September 2008
Accolades to Christelle Stodel and GANIL for hosting the highly successful and enjoyable 2008 World Conference of the INTDS. The contributions to the conference are edited as a special issue of Elsevier’s Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research – A (NIM A 613).
